Willis ISD is a growing K-12 public school district nestled between the Sam Houston National Forest and Lake Conroe, 45 miles north of Houston, Texas. Education is exciting for the more than 8,577 Willis Wildkats who attend pre-kindergarten, one of six elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school.

Willis ISD is proud to announce that Superintendent Dr. James has successfully completed the 18-month Superintendent Leadership Program at The Holdsworth Center, a highly regarded professional learning experience designed to strengthen and sustain exceptional leadership in public education.
